Why I like Sarah Palin.

I'm a little bit of a hippie, I suppose.    As I turn into a middle aged person who has started saying "Kids these days...."  I have perhaps become at least a little more moderately Democrat than my old extreme liberal of my youth.  (Both parties are going to spend my money I'm just hoping it's in something I can buy into, at least a little.)
I've been watching the TLC show "Sarah Palin's Alaska" tv show.  I enjoyed Sarah's determination, optimism, mixed metaphors and openness to new adventures, plus she put that uptight Kate plus 8 scary beeyotch to shame. Do I think she should be Vice President well noooo, definitely not, and frankly politically she reminds me of a  female George W.  who's just more publicly honest, honesty that I admire....hmmm, wonder why?

There was a portion in one of the episodes where she meet an older boy with Down's and his family, living the life of hunting, flying, and loving and enduring winters in Alaska. (Canoeing with bears, camping in snow and moose hunting is is not my thing, but eh to each their own).  Sarah teared up as she talked about the hope she has had for her son to fly with his dad, camp with them, be part of the joy the experience living in the Alaskan wild - and to see this boy gave her even more confirmation that he will. And there it was.  Instant connection and understanding of her fierce approach to life and towards her son, with a simultaneous vulnerability and reflection of pain in her eyes.  And the ability to show it.
Yep, love her.
